It did not matter if you helped her by killing Flemeth and retrieving the real Grimoire for her. It did not matter if you were able to see past her acerbic nature and her other flaws and loved her.
What mattered to her was the Urthemiel's Soul and when she is denied access to it, she throws up a tantrum and leaves. It's simple. Morrigan either loves her son or she doesn't. You can't say "she cared for Kieran as her son but she still viewed him as a tool ". Those don't go together. No way, you literally have no reason to trust Morrigan for most of the game, in fact, I've wondered if you shouldn't just send her on her way.
Kind of a weird trend in Dragon Age: Origins, Sten? Very possibly might rage and kill everyone at any possible moment. So dependent, might rage and quit the moment you do something she doesn't like. So shifty it's entirely possible she is simply trying to get everyone killed. Part of why the Dog is literally like they key character for me lol, I think that was kind of joke but it's actually sort of true. Making Kieran shoulder the burden of housing the Old God soul without him having any say on it is no different from Dorian's parents wanting to force him to be someone he is not.
She also stipulates that once the deed is done and the child born, the Warden and the father not seek out her or the child ever again. If you are male, then you can perform the ritual with Morrigan; it is not necessary to have been in a romantic relationship with her.
If you are female, or are male and turn Morrigan down, she will suggest that she perform the ritual with Alistair or Secret Companion. If you agree to raise the topic with one of the other Wardens, then go to the Guest Room and discuss it with them. Once your discussion is concluded, you will return to Morrigan to report the outcome. You have one final chance to turn her down at this stage. If the ritual is refused, Morrigan will leave the party immediately.
If the ritual proceeds, she will stay for the final battle. If the Warden is in a romance with Alistair , Leliana or Zevran , then Morrigan will mention them and suggest that their feelings are a reason to undergo the ritual and stay alive. If the Warden is in a romance with Morrigan, she will say that her feelings make her all the more determined to get you to do the ritual. When speaking to Alistair, he will claim to be King, regardless of the decision at the Landsmeet. Confirmed PC, PS3 and If Wynne abandoned Warden, then Alistair will disappear after Landsmeet even though he was chosen King and Loghain will not be available too, so for the female Warden this quest will be impossible Confirmed PC.
The Battle of Denerim will start. But I totally understand how difficult to send your romance sleep with other woman. There is no negative effects, the ritual only brings positive, unless you want either you or alistair to be sacrificed.
Ritual means nothing in long term romance, it simply means both you and Alistair survive the battle. I'm pretty sure a female human noble can romance both Alistair and Leliana simultaneously. You become queen and have Leliana on the side. Having said that, I'm not sure how.

Alistair mentions that the Grey Wardens of Orlais wonder why they didn't die, but nothing ever comes of it. Your other companions never mention it and don't react to it at all. User Info: woodym. User Info: DuneMan. As I understand it she goes to Orlias regardless of what you choose to do and it leads me to believe that she will return as a villian in Dragon Age 2. Much like a Cadburys Creme egg. With the ending I ended up with it was generally inclined that my PC was following after Morrigan and their child, which seemed to set up a sequel rather nicely in my eyes. I had Loghain at that point in my party and I felt dirty even thinking of her having to sleep with him, so I declined as sleeping with her contridicted the way I was playing.
The Morrigan thing threw me off too, because I was also playing a nice guy who was romantically involved with her I was determined to get my Warden some action and it was either her or Leliana, and Leliana was just too goody-two-shoes even for my character.
But in the end, I decided to accept her offer because her dialogue throughout the game convinced me that she wasn't truly evil, just completely lacking empathy.
I mean, she was raised in the woods where she was forbidden to come into contact with people because it could lead to her discovery as an unsanctioned mage. So when she does things like advocate the use of the Anvil in Orzammar, she only sees the benefit and doesn't consider how it would feel to have someone force you into being a rock monster If you ask her how she will raise the child, she also says that she will teach it to "respect where it came from" and that it will be free of the taint that creates Archdemons.
This implies that she won't teach it to hate and kill everything, which doesn't seem to be Morrigan's desire either. She obviously wants to use it for something, though, and nobody knows exactly what.
However, I think there may be a clue when it says that she goes to Orlais, because Orlais is the home of the Chantry, which she naturally hates as they impose on people's freedoms specifically mages. Personally, I think she wants to use an Old God's power to destroy the Chantry, which I don't consider an evil thing. Templars are kind of dicks anyway- they should be hunting down maleficars only, not putting every mage they can find through a test where they kill you if you don't pass.
You can also tell Morrigan that you vow to find her afterwards, and also say the same thing to Alistair when he asks you what you plan to do after you kill the Archdemon. She can't totally disappear, especially with the special connection ring, so maybe you can find her later and make sure she's not effing up your kid.
So I actually think I got the perfect ending, where pretty much everything good happens Alistair and Queen whatshername rule together and unite the people, the one chick rules the elves who are now curse free, Bhelin expands rights for dwarven castless, no Grey Wardens die fighting the Archdemon, the ashes of Andraste are saf-- oops wait, forgot to go back and kill the High Dragon!
Oh well and there is a little bit of mystery in the child. I don't know about you guys, but at the end of my uh, ending, it says "but that was not all that the land of Ferelden heard from the Grey Warden" I think it would be the best canon ending. Yea, I got that thing as well and took it. It was mind blowing. I felt so disturbed about it though. Ninja at the end after the game it tells u all this stuff that happenned to the characters and at the end of morrigans it says that she vannished etc.
But personally i think they are going to make an expansion where ur son or daughter is some big demon thing u have to kill or something along that lines. But that for now thing gives it away she will be back.. Sorry, had to throw that out I just finished the game with me sacrificing myself I didn't have ties to Morrigan; I was thinking of it, but I was playing a good character with my entire party being the Lawful Good path Alistair, Leliana, Wynne, Shale at one point
